1. Information We Collect

1.1 Dream Entries & Journal Data

When you log a dream, we collect the content you enter, including dream titles, narrative descriptions, emotion tags, symbols, recurring themes, audio recordings of voice memos, and sketches or images you attach. This is the core of your Dreamworx experience, and it is treated with the highest level of sensitivity.

1.2 Account Information

To create an account, we collect your name (or display name), email address, password (stored in hashed form — never in plaintext), and optional profile photo.

1.3 Usage & Analytics Data

We automatically collect certain information about how you use the app, including:

• App interactions (e.g., which features you use, entry frequency)
• Device type, operating system, and app version
• Crash reports and performance diagnostics
• General geographic region (country or city level, not precise GPS)

This data is used to improve the app experience and diagnose technical issues. It is never sold to advertisers.

1.4 Optional Biometric & Wearable Data

If you choose to connect a wearable device or enable sleep tracking integrations (such as Apple Health, Google Fit, or compatible sleep trackers), we may receive sleep cycle data, heart rate during sleep, movement data, and estimated REM stage information. This integration is entirely optional and can be disconnected at any time in your settings. Biometric data is processed locally on your device where possible.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Dreamworx app and its features
• Personalize your dream journaling experience (e.g., surfacing patterns, symbols, and recurring themes over time)
• Power AI-assisted features such as dream pattern analysis, symbol interpretation, and sleep insights — all processed with privacy protections
• Send you optional notifications and reminders you configure (e.g., morning dream-capture reminders)
• Communicate important updates about the app or your account
• Investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service
• Comply with legal obligations

3. AI Features and Dream Analysis

Dreamworx offers optional AI-powered features including symbol detection, emotion mapping, lucid dreaming pattern identification, and sleep quality correlations. When you use these features:

• Your dream content may be processed by our AI systems to generate insights.
• You can opt out of AI analysis at any time in Settings > Privacy > AI Features.
• AI models used by Dreamworx are not trained on individual users' personal dream data without explicit, separately obtained consent.
• Any aggregated and anonymized data used for model improvement is stripped of all personally identifiable information before use.

4. Data Sharing

Your dreams are yours. We do not sell your personal information or dream content to any third party. We may share limited information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: Trusted vendors who help operate our infrastructure (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics platforms) under strict data processing agreements.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or court order, we will disclose information as necessary — and will notify you to the extent permitted by law.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of Dreamworx, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified in advance and given the option to delete your account.
• With Your Consent: We will share your information for any other purpose only with your explicit permission.

5. Data Retention

Your dream entries and account data are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.

You can export all of your dream data at any time via Settings > Data > Export My Dreams.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Portability: Export your dream journal in standard formats (JSON, PDF, plain text).
• Opt-Out: Opt out of AI analysis, optional analytics, and non-essential communications at any time.
• Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.

7. Data Security

We take the security of your dream data seriously. Our measures include:

• End-to-end encryption for dream entries stored in the cloud
• AES-256 encryption for data at rest
• TLS 1.3 for all data in transit
• Regular third-party security audits
• Option to enable local-only storage mode, where your dreams never leave your device

While we implement robust safeguards, no system is completely impenetrable. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication on your account.

8. Children's Privacy

Dreamworx is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. 9. International Data Transfers

Dreamworx is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the app from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. or other countries. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally approved transfer mechanisms to ensure adequate data protection.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you via in-app notification and by email (if you have provided one), and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
